Well we had a great group here with some big waves and some what poor fishing we went right to work, we headed out to Niagara reef and started casting weapons and put down bottom bouncers, still fire tiger blades were working well due to the stained water associated with the high winds in the past few days.

Well today was one tough fishing day, we've had lots of east winds that changed the water temperatures from 63 degrees all the way back to 57 degrees, and high winds since last Friday.

Yesterday evening we headed to the turnaround bouy at the entrance to the Maumee Bay, the water was extremely muddy in front of the Davis Besse so we had no choice.

Walleye fishing in the western basin of Lake Erie couldn't get any better! Walleyes continue to spawn and limit catches are unbelievable. We are catching fish from 18 - 28 inchers with an ocasional 30 incher. Most fish are being taken with purple hair jigs.

Yesterday afternoon fished near Crane Creek State Park in 11 - 14 feet of water using blade baits and purple hair jigs tipped with lake shiners and didn't take very long to limit 16 walleyes in a couple hours.

The walleye are biting in front of the Davis Besse Power Plant and they are also catching walleyes at Rattlesnake Island and off Green Island. They are using Blue/silver jigging rapallas tipped with lake shiners. Slow jigging presentation anchored. I am putting boat in today and willl be fishn Saturday and Sunday.
Well ice fishing is know starting, we headed out to Catawba State Park in search of a good ice report and caught one of our close friends just returning from the frozen Lake.
