King Salmon Fishing Lake Ontario comes to a Screaching Hault

Well as another Great season comes to an end, the East winds did not help us with 5-7 foot waves Saturday, and 7-9 foot waves on Sunday Salmon/Steelhead fishing was extremely tough. The hurricane winds blew in from Tropical storm DANNY and the fishing shut down. The moral for this story is Lake Ontario is know different than any other Lake when drastic conditions change so does the fishing. All in all it was the best Salmon/Steelhead season I've seen in years, and the Erie Drifter Team captured more than 375 Salmon/Steelhead in 24 days not so shabby. We are back in Lake Erie and gearing up for what looks like to be a great fall for walleyes, perch and smallmouth bass.
