2013 Our 30th Year of Successful Fishing Trips from Lake Erie and Lake Ontario

Well another phenomenal year fishing Lake Erie and Lake Ontario has passed quickly and I hope this letter finds you well. We have caught more Fish Ohio walleyes than any other year we have been in business. Along with great smallmouth bass fishing and jumbo perch jerking in Canadian waters, I'd say this has to be a career record year.

Lake Ontario this year was also very good for The Explosive King Salmon and Steelhead Trout. If you have never fished “Salmon” before, by all means book a charter with us from Early July through mid August , 2013. Battling a 20-30 pound “King” is truly a test of stamina, while he leaps and dances across the pristine waters of Lake Ontario.

The seasons seem to be getting earlier every year and if this continues we will be jigging walleyes in March again this upcoming year.We predict that the spring and early summer bite will be very good with some monster walleyes and bass fishing should really be excellent. Also with the Canadian fishing license available to our clients at www.on.wildlifelicense.com we can now fish Canadian waters that has been virtually unfished in the early season of the Western Basin of Lake Erie. Folks prime dates are filling up fast, so please book your trip of a lifetime soon!

2005 Winner of the Wild Wings Largest Fish Award

The Wild Wings Largest fish award is a competition hosted by Wild Wings Marina for all charter captains operating from the marina full time. Every year the competition runs from May 1st through August 31st and each person who charters a boat from one of the captains in the marina is eligible to win if they indeed catch the largest fish of the year. The person who catches the fish gets a $600 cash prize which is given to them the week before Christmas that same year. In 2005 Captain Tom Straus' client, Rick Schlinger of Monee, IL, won the competition by boating a 12.8 lb., 32'' lunker walleye aboard the Erie Drifter!
